If your kids ever spill juice on your upholstery, do not fret. With a few simple household supplies, you should be able to get that juice stain out of your upholstery before it has a chance to set it.
Blot It
The first thing you need to do as soon as the juice is spilled is to use some paper towels to blot away at the juice. This is your best chance to remove as much of the juice as possible before it sets in and starts to stain your upholstery. Be gentle and consistent, and keep working until your paper towel is basically dry when you blot with it.
Blot With A Wet Rag
The second thing you need to do is take your blotting to a new level. Take a clean cloth and get it wet with cold water, then wring it out. Use cold water, not hot or warm water, which will cause the stain to set. Use the cloth to blot at the juice stain as well. This should help transfer any remaining juice as well as the dye in the juice from your upholstery to your cloth.
Apply An Enzyme Digester
The third thing you need to do is apply an enzyme digester that is specifically designed for upholstery onto the spot in accordance with the directions on the package. This will help break down the stain without compromising the integrity of your upholstery.
If you do not have an enzyme digester on hand, mix some dish soap and water together and apply that to the stain as well. It will help clean and remove the stain. If you worked quickly, the stain may be cleaned up at this step. You only need to do the remaining step if the stain is stubborn.
Use Hydrogen Peroxide For Stubborn Stains
If the juice was a bright color, and the stain will not go away, you can treat the stain with some hydrogen peroxide. Ideally, you should use 3% hydrogen peroxide. If your hydrogen peroxide is stronger, you may want to dilute it first with a little batter. Put a little hydrogen peroxide on a cotton swab and dab it onto the stain. It should lift the stain up and off your upholstery.
Once the stain is gone, take a dry towel and dab at the area to remove any remaining cleaning solution that has been left behind. Then, pat the area as dry as possible with a clean towel, and allow it to air dry the rest of the way. For more difficult stains, contact professional upholstery cleaning services.

Hello, my name is Kirk. Welcome to my website about cleaning. When I developed asthma, I had to figure out the best way to manage my health. Since my asthma worsened with exposure to allergens, I had to dedicate myself to deep cleaning my home on a regular basis. I learned a lot about keeping my home clean using natural products and methods. I also utilize cleaning services when I cannot perform the work myself. I would like to help others learn how to keep their home clean and tidy on their own and with professional help. I hope you will follow along to learn all you can about cleaning your home. Thanks for visiting.
